Maker of Fortnite, one of the most popular battle royale games in the world, Epic Games, has announced that it is pulling down the Infinity Blade trilogy of games which is Infinity Blade, Infinity Blade II, Infinity Blade III from Apple’s App Store. This was a rather sudden move and came as a surprise for the users and fans of the game which is considered among the better games on the App Store.
According to Epic Games, it didn’t have the resources to follow through on the continued development of the game. Here’s what it had to say on the matter, “At Epic we strive to put players first and to provide a supported, full-fledged experience in every game we publish. With the development of Spyjinx and other projects, it has become increasingly difficult for our team to support the Infinity Blade series at a level that meets our standards.”
This move apparently follows an interview by Epic Games founder Tim Sweeney, who was of the opinion that Epic Games was not happy with Apple’s policies. This could also be a nod towards the fact that Epic Games is working on a market for games not unlike Steam where it plans to host its own games as well as others.
“The Infinity Blade series will always hold a special place for me personally and for Epic as a whole,” Donald Mustard, Global Creative Director, said, “It’s always bittersweet to say goodbye, but we are excited for Spyjinx and what the future holds!”

Epic Games recent said that it is no longer working on a new edition of the popular Unreal Tournament game which many fans were waiting for. As for Infinity Blade the sword has turned up on Fortnite in a teaser and this could be an indication of assimilation in another game.
