OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition Speed Orange renders leaked, could come with Warp Charge and 10GB RAM

We’re just a few days away from the launch of the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition, and almost as if on cue, here come the leaks. The latest reveal comes in the form of leaked renders and posters that showcase the special edition device, along with certain specifications and features. According to the leak, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition color will be called Speed Orange, and is developed in collaboration with supercar manufacturer and Formula One racing team McLaren.

While other details aren’t known yet, the leaks from tipster Ishan Agarwal do give some information away. In a tweet, the tipster has revealed that the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition will come with 10GB of RAM and support for Warp Charge, the new fast charging standard from OnePlus. Touted as a step-up over the Dash Charge standard that is over two years old now, Warp Charge is believed to be based on the same 50W charging technology as Oppo‘s Super VOOC charging. The poster suggests that the charging standard will provide ‘a day’s power in 20 minutes’.

The remaining images in the tweet show various renders of the upcoming phone, showing a carbon fiber-like design at the back with orange accents along the edges. The sides of the phone will likely sport the same black shade as the standard variants, and the back also has a McLaren logo at the bottom. There could also be a special wallpaper for the device that matches with the black and orange color scheme.

The launch event is set to take place on December 11 globally, and on December 12 in India alongside the company’s fifth anniversary celebrations. The phone will likely come with 256GB of internal storage, while other specifications will be similar to the standard variants of the OnePlus 6T. Given that the 8GB / 256GB variant is priced at Rs 45,999, the price of the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition could get close to Rs 50,000.
