The OnePlus 8 series is seeing a high number of leaks ahead of its April launch. Another new leak has revealed what looks like the entire camera specifications of the OnePlus 8 Pro. While we already knew that the OnePlus 8 Pro features a quad-camera unit, the leak shares information on all four sensors used.
The new tip suggests that the main sensor on the phone will be the Sony IMX689. This is the f/1.78 Sony sensor that debuted “exclusively” on the Oppo Find X2 series. The 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 is also present on the phone but this time as an ultrawide angle sensor with a 120-degree field of view and a 2.2 f-stop. This was the primary lens in a couple of previous OnePlus flagships.

As per the leak by Ishan Agarwal, via Pricebaba, the third lens will be a 5-megapixel “color filter” lens. There is also a fourth telephoto lens. This is reportedly an f/2.44 lens with 3X optical zoom and 30X digital zoom capabilities. The new camera setup on the OnePlus 8 Pro features new modes as well. These include the “Night Portrait Mode” along w2ith “Cinematic Effects”. On the higher end OnePlus 8 Pro, there is also a feature called “3-HDR Video” along with improved OIS.
OnePlus 8 Pro new color option expected
The new camera optics are rumored to come in a design that does not differ a lot from previous OnePlus flagships like the OnePlus 7 Pro and 7T Pro. The major, immediate difference to the eye will be the camera notch on the front rather than a pop-up setup. However, a new color variant is also rumored to debut on the OnePlus 8 series.
The new OnePlus 8 series will offer green, black and a mysterious new ‘Glow’ color scheme. According to WinFuture, the new color will comprise an innovative gradient with almost thunder-like purple color transitions to a golden-orange hue.
